Just 45 minutes outside Las Vegas, enjoy stunning views of the iconic Hoover Dam and the Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. Time permitting, stop for photos or take a short walk across the bridge’s pedestrian path for sweeping views of Lake Mead and the Colorado River.

Fortification Hill & Black Mountains

Pass by Fortification Hill, an extinct volcanic mesa, framed by the rugged Black Mountains and desert valleys—a perfect preview of the geologic wonders to come.

Joshua Tree Forest Parkway
