When you think of the ultimate bachelorette party destination in the U.S., you think of Las Vegas. There’s no doubt it’s the perfect girls’ getaway if you’re seeking sunshine, top-notch restaurants, and parties, but there are also alternative and more unique ways to celebrate there.
A group of Canadian Wedding Planners from "The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada Inc." were in Las Vegas attending the WMBA Convention October 1-4, 2017. LV Wedding Connection had the opportunity to show them a little preview of some things offered to our Brides and Bachelorettes coming to Vegas.
LV Wedding Connection and the Las Vegas Convention Visitors Authority (LVCVA) Laughlin partnered in a specialized FAM in September 2017, customized for wedding/bachelorette/celebration agents. Nevada is no stranger to weddings and romance travel, and we host more than 80,000 couples annually! This fam was to show off Las Vegas and Laughlin ceremony locations, reception venues, and attractions to enhance the Wedding Celebration Weekend or Bachelorette/Bachelor party!
The group comprised 15 agents and planners from Arizona, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, New York, Hong Kong, and Bogota, Columbia.
The Wedding Merchants Business Academy (WMBA) has made its yearly visit to Las Vegas. There is no place more appropriate to have a wedding convention than in the "Wedding Capital of the World."
LV Wedding Connection has been involved with the WMBA since its start in Las Vegas in 2009. The attendance was 400, which developed into a much anticipated, attended educational conference of 4,800. Nevada Weddings and LV Wedding Connection started an annual chapel tour to give the attendees an exclusive firsthand experience of the Las Vegas Wedding Industry.
“People want something different,” says Joni Moss-Graham, who co-owns LV Wedding Connection with her husband, John. “They can do a wedding in front of a volcano. They can do a wedding on a helicopter. They can dress up like Marilyn Monroe, where back home in Idaho that wouldn’t happen.
This was a fun group! We met them at the Marriage License Bureau to attain their license and then we were off to get them fitted for their special day. After spending a bit of time with Diane @Renta-Dress & Tux Shop, the couple was successful in finding two tuxedos each with their own color accent.

Happily Ever After in Las Vegas – Wedding Chapel Row Media Tour
On a recent visit to “Sin City” members of our group of travel writers took in the abundant variety of wedding venues guided by wedding consultant/planner extraordinaire Joni Moss-Graham of LV Wedding Connection.
After our behind-the-scenes tour I can sincerely say that Las Vegas is truly the wedding capital of the U.S.
“The wedding and event industry is a huge part of tourism to the city,’’ explained Ms. Moss-Graham, as she shuttled us around the city.
